Good cast iron kadhai.

It's too good, I am very satisfied with it, heavy & good quality

Heavy but good one. Serves the purpose. Season it properly after every use and voila.

If you don't maintain it, will obviously rust don't complain them. Love this brand so far its going good. Have been using a dosa tawa for more than 2 years and it's perfect. Wish they bring more products in similar range with different size.

This is the first time I purchased a cast iron kadhai and I have been more than happy. The product is sturdy. It’s exactly the size I wanted . It’s suitable for a family of 2 to 3.

The product came seasoned well. Initially the kadhai had a copper sheen to it. But with regular usage and seasoning it a few times, it’s now turned black.

Upon receiving it I seasoned it as per the instructions provided. Initially I used it only for deep frying. Then after a few uses I now use it for making Sabzis and gravies. I keep seasoning it whenever I have time. Even sabudana khichdi doesn’t stick in this kadhai.

While making the purchase I saw a few reviews that said the product has rusted even after following all the instructions provided. But after using it I have realised that one has to take proper care of it to prevent rusting. All you have to do is just clean with water after usage , wipe off the water and then oil it properly before storing. It’s as simple as that. Keep seasoning it to maintain the natural non stick nature of the kadhai.

Good look...perfect size for small family...has to be oiled and kept after washing...a bit heavy too for lifting...handles get little hot...but can be compromised for healthy cooking

Pleasant to see the workmanship. I am used to Lodge and this one is really comparable in quality. Price is also quite reasonable.

Seasoning is already there but I washed and applied my own seasoning. It is really mini workhorse and using it almost daily.

If I am really nitpicking, "ROCK" written on side is not clear. It is okay but it is not precise. Also "ROCK" written at bottom is quite precise and aesthetically appealing.

Base is not that good difficulty in placing

Worst product ...plzzz dont waste your money...after first wash....kadai got rust...we realised we ate smooth paint....i was deeply hurted with this experience

Nowadays cast iron cookware are trending the most...

Main reason being they r almost non stick like the non stick cookware ,which are very harmful for our health...

So the Rock Tawa kadai has served to its name...its very solid and sturdy....very heavy which tells us how thick the metal is.....The pre- seasoning was almost good but as everyone says...i washed it prior to use and seasoned it using the regular method.....and the first cooking in it experience was awesome....The brand is budget friendly also....Cleaning cast iron cookware is do easy...

Only care is to handle it carefully and cool it before u wash ...

Its a must buy product from Rock Tawa..

After much thought ordered this one. It’s of perfect size for family of 3-4. Round bottom with nice depth. Good thickness. And arrived perfectly. Looks like already seasoned well.

But what nobody tells u is tat it’s damn heavy!around 3 kgs. As a cast iron pan should be!

If ur used to cooking in regular nonstick cookware.. this heavy vessel is going to scare you. U cannot lift it in one hand. Have to handle it carefully. Even while washing. Not easy to maintain either.

If all of the above is not a problem for u. Go for it! It’s perfect!

Update: after using for two months: works jus like ur non stick pan.. great for ur stir fry’s as well as deep fry’s. after daily usage care like reheating and rubbing with oil. But,,,, consumes LPG gas like anything.. (wonder if anybody told this) as it’s too thick takes times to heat up (and the additional reheating after washing)as I’ve been using it up on a daily basis finished my gas cylinder by a month earlier..!

So if all of this is doesn’t bother you go for it!

My suggestion would be to go for a lil thinner one as in other Brand’s..

I have bought both indus valley and rock tawa. According to me both are equally same. But in indus valley they charging too much in the sake of brand name.

Better than non stick very less oil used to saute onion and other things

I bought this to fry my food items ...it is heavy n very sturdy..however the base is slightly not so stable ...I liked everything about the kadai...however what I did not like is that the surface is not smooth ...there are small hole into it about a size of half peanut ...however they are in three places ...n not very deep ...it doesn't give a feel of a good quality product....though the material used is really heavy n a good one

Very good kadhai....using it for last 6 years.

I bought this kadhai, as I had bought the Rock skillet earlier and was happy with it. It is sturdy, easy to clean and the food cooked in it, somehow tastes better. The only drawback is that it narrows down at the bottom and hence does not sit steadily on a flat surface, like the kitchen platform. Otherwise it is good value for money and I love using it for cooking.

It also becomes useless after using it for a long time

Kadai is great. Quality is super.
